Fintangle came together in 2019 when a small group of educators and personal finance practitioners in Kuala Lumpur kept running into the same problem: Malaysian households were looking for somewhere to learn the basics of managing a monthly budget, and there was very little available that was genuinely practical, language-accessible and free of product sales.
We spent a year building and testing workshop formats with volunteer participants in the Klang Valley — refining the materials, cutting everything that felt like filler, and adding more of what people actually asked for. By mid-2021 we had a core curriculum that worked consistently across different household types.
Today, Fintangle runs three programmes at our Menara Kuala Lumpur venue: a half-day foundations workshop for those just getting started, a six-week coaching track for households building steadier habits, and a comprehensive family curriculum for those who want the most thorough grounding available.

We exist to make household budgeting something Malaysian families can approach with confidence — not dread. Every session we run is shaped by one question: what would actually be useful to bring home and use this week?

How We Work
We apply consistent standards across everything we do — from how sessions are structured to how your personal information is handled.
Facilitator Training Standard
All Fintangle facilitators go through a structured internal training process before leading any session. We review session quality regularly using participant feedback.
Curriculum Review Process
Workshop materials are reviewed and updated twice a year to reflect changes in the Malaysian cost of living and common household spending patterns.
Participant Data Privacy
We collect only the information needed to administer your place on a programme. We don't share participant details with third parties or use them for any other purpose.
Group Size Limits
We cap group sizes to preserve quality: workshops run with a maximum of 14 participants, coaching tracks with 10. Each person gets time to ask questions.
Strictly Educational Scope
Fintangle does not sell financial products, accept referral fees or direct participants toward any particular institution. All content is general education only.
Post-Session Feedback Loop
Every programme ends with a brief written feedback form. We read all responses and use them directly to improve future sessions — not as testimonial harvesting.
Budgeting Education for Malaysian Households
Fintangle operates from Level 18 of Menara Kuala Lumpur — a central location chosen specifically because it's straightforward to reach by public transport from across the Klang Valley, including Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Ampang and Cheras.
Our programmes are designed for working adults and families who haven't had a formal introduction to household budgeting, as well as those who have tried budgeting tools before and found them either too complicated or too removed from their actual spending patterns. The Everyday Budget Foundations Workshop is a good starting point if you've never built a structured household budget before. The six-week Household Money Coaching Track suits those ready to build consistent record-keeping habits over time. The Family Finance Retreat works well for households with school-age children, multiple income contributors or significant irregular costs throughout the year.
All three programmes are conducted in English. Participants from diverse household structures — single earners, dual-income couples, extended family arrangements — have attended and found the materials adaptable to their situation. We do not assume a standard household template in any session.
Our venue is fully accessible. Sessions require no prior preparation or study — just bring the knowledge of your own household that you already carry with you.
